About me

Francis Edusei

Singer, rapper, member of Dutch formation SFB, event organizer, and label owner Frenna belongs to the top of the Dutch scene and has already touched many milestones in his relatively short musical career.

The Hague rapper Frenna made his breakthrough as part of the rap formation SFB (Strictly Family Business) in 2014. Nowadays Frenna, whose real name is Francis Junior Edusei, is making quite an impact as a solo artist with more than 2 million Spotify listeners per month.

Frenna has scored several number one hits and has managed to achieve platinum status with both his third album ‘Francis’ and fourth solo album ’’t Album Onderweg Naar ‘Het Album’’ in a short amount of time.

In 2018 Frenna also broke the until then established Spotify record for most streams in twenty-four hours with the single ‘Verleden Tijd’, together with fellow artist Lil’ Kleine. The song uninterruptedly ranked number one in the Dutch charts for six weeks. At the end of 2019, he set a new record: at that point, his music had already been streamed more than 325 million times, and this milestone earned him the title of the most streamed Dutch Spotify artist. Then, in July of 2020, Frenna received a unique award recognizing 1 billion streams across all streaming platforms received on his music and project he was featured on.

Besides breaking records, Frenna also managed to win several awards. In February 2019 he received his first Edison Pop Award for his album ‘Francis’. A few months later, Frenna was the big winner at the FunX Music Awards where the singer and rapper collected three of his eight nominations winning in categories Best Singer, Best Album (‘Francis’) and Best Collaboration (‘Viraal’, with Mula B).

As an event organizer, Frenna is also the brain behind several successful events. In the summer of 2019 he organized the sold out 777 Fest in Eindhoven, which attracted a total of 7000 visitors. He was also the first artist to sell out the AFAS Live venue during ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) 2019 with his own urban concept ‘Meisjes Blijven Meisjes’. As label owner of his own record label 777 – a joint-venture with Top Notch – he was to host the second, and even bigger, edition of ‘Meisjes Blijven Meisjes’ in 2020, but this was postponed to 2021 due to the corona measures.

Following his success in the Netherlands, Frenna is broadening his horizons and striving for an international career: features with foreign artists have already been planned. With this, the singer and rapper has firmly set his sights on the future.

At the end of 2019 his music had already been streamed more than 325 million times that year, and this milestone earned him the title of the most streamed Dutch Spotify artist of 2019. Around the same time, Frenna received an award for having the second most viewed music video with the single ‘Viraal Gaan’ together with Mula B. Then, in July of 2020, Frenna received a unique award recognizing 1 billion streams across all streaming platforms received on his music and project he was featured on.

Origin

777 (seven-seven-seven) stands for a community within the pop scene that is committed to the Dutch music culture. It aims to be a family consisting of fans, family and friends who want to reach the next level and be the best version of themselves. The brand originates from Frenna’s lucky number 7.

“777 stands for a victory after a defeat. If you turn a 7 upside down, you get an L. An L doesn’t mean a loss, but a lesson. And when that lesson is inverted, then it becomes a 7”, says Frenna.

Record label, Siebenwear, 777 Fest

777 features a record label with acts like Philly Moré, SXTEEN, Diquenza, Delany, & YXNG LE, a  clothing line featuring t-shirts, hoodies, sweaters, and caps and which most recently embarked on a collaboration with Rotterdam brand Clan de Banlieue, and an innovative and sustainable festival organiser – which aims to combine the different cultures in music and most recently organised a sold out summer edition with 7000 attendees in 2019.

Fest

Born from Frenna’s desire to bring different cultures together, 777-fest brings top Dutch artists together in an outdoor festival, while also offering a stage to emerging talents. From Pop to Urban, to Latin and Afro-house music, 777-fest puts the love for music at central and offers an extensive experience of Dutch music culture to her visitors.

With 7 different music areas, a ‘World of Food’ with 7 different kitchens, 7 recreation possibilities including a hairdresser, wellness, and make-up corner, 777-fest creates a complete festival experience for her visitors.

Founded by Frenna, Meisjes Blijven Meisjes (Girls Will Be Girls) is a women friendly event featuring urban deejays and live performances.

Nowadays ‘Meisjes Blijven Meisjes’ is a household name in the Dutch nightlife scene, with successful editions in Maassilo in Rotterdam, Bloemendaal aan Zee, a sold-out edition during Amsterdam Dance Event 2019 in AFAS Amsterdam with 6000 attendees, and even editions on the Antilles.
