About
Francis Edusei
Singer, rapper, event organizer, and label owner Frenna belongs to the top of the Dutch scene and has already touched many milestones in his relatively short musical career.
The Hague artist Frenna made his breakthrough as part of the rap formation SFB (Strictly Family Business) in 2014. Nowadays Frenna, whose real name is Francis Junior Edusei, is making quite an impact as a solo artist with more than 2 million Spotify listeners per month.
Frenna has scored several number one hits and has managed to achieve platinum status with both his third album ‘Francis’ and fourth solo album ’’t Album Onderweg Naar ‘Het Album’’ in a short amount of time. In 2018 Frenna also broke the until then established Spotify record for most streams in twenty-four hours with the single ‘Verleden Tijd’, together with fellow artist Lil’ Kleine. The song uninterruptedly ranked number one in the Dutch charts for six weeks. At the end of 2019, he set a new record: at that point, his music had already been streamed more than 325 million times, and this milestone earned him the title of the most streamed Dutch Spotify artist. That year Frenna was also awarded with one of the most prestigious prizes in the Dutch music industry – the artist received his first Edison Pop Award for his album ‘Francis’.
As an event organizer, Frenna is also the brain behind several successful events. In the summer of 2019, he organized the sold out 777 Fest in Eindhoven, which attracted a total of 7000 visitors. He was also the first artist to sell out the AFAS Live venue during ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) 2019 with his own urban concept ‘Meisjes Blijven Meisjes’.
Following his success in the Netherlands, Frenna is broadening his horizon and striving for an international career. His fifth solo album ‘Highest’ is the first step into this direction. This bilingual album boasts his first entirely English solo track called ‘Come Thru’ and contains both Dutch tracks and international features with none other than the Nigerian superstar Yemi Alade, the British rapper Young Adz from the collective D-Block Europe, and King Promise.
In the first quarter of 2022 Frenna launched the ‘A Toast To The Culture’ campaign together with Havana Club, emphasizing the importance of creating together and supporting emerging talent.
They also jointly launched a unique limited edition bottle, designed in collaboration with next generation creatives to offer it a stage. To celebrate the collaboration, Frenna released a brand new track and accompanying music video ‘Waistline’.
Frenna further proved his international ambitions in the summer of 2022 whilst featuring on two highly anticipated hit singles: ‘Bigger Than Life’ with UK star Headie One and ‘OK’ with French artist Bramsitoo on NBA player Kawi Leonard’s project Culture Jam vol.1. Besides releasing these major songs, the second edition of Frenna’s festival 7Fest saw an extremely successful comeback in The Hague and sold out 20k tickets.
To top off the first 6 months of the year Frenna was asked to star in a 14-page editorial shoot and interview for Vogue’s annual September Issue and gave a performance at the magazine’s release party in Amsterdam. Not long after this major success, the well-known Red Bull concept, ‘Soundclash’, took place in the Netherlands for the very first time. The honor was to Frenna himself and fellow top artist, Ronnie Flex, to compete against one another in a battle on an unprecedented musical level. In the end, Frenna and his band managed to take home this win after an eventful evening.
Apart from strong (inter)national features and the campaign song for Havana Club, Frenna has not released any music of his own in 2022. Yet he manages to continue to perform consistently at the highest level: not only did he – once again – secure a position in the Spotify Top 10 Most Streamed Artists in the Netherlands, also Frenna his releases altogether now account for more than 2 billion streams worldwide.
Closing 2022 off with a bang, Frenna sold out the AFAS Live Amsterdam, not once, but twice with SFB in just ten minutes. This is an exceptional achievement, especially considering that the rap formation hadn’t released music together for more than two years at that point. Shortly afterwards the long-awaited album ‘Reset The Levels IV’ followed. SFB has ended an old era to start a new one and the kick-off officially took place with their biggest indoor show ever at the Ziggo Dome Amsterdam.
Being the ambitious artist and entrepreneur Frenna is, it is undoubtedly that his career will continue to be on the rise for 2023 and break borders with its capacity to succeed.

Origin
777 (seven-seven-seven) stands for a community within the pop scene that is committed to the Dutch music culture. It aims to be a family consisting of fans, family and friends who want to reach the next level and be the best version of themselves. The brand originates from Frenna’s lucky number 7.
“777 stands for a victory after a defeat. If you turn a 7 upside down, you get an L. An L doesn’t mean a loss, but a lesson. And when that lesson is inverted, then it becomes a 7”, says Frenna.

Record label, Siebenwear, 7Fest
777 features a record label with acts like Philly Moré, SXTEEN, Diquenza, Delany, & YXNG LE, a clothing line featuring t-shirts, hoodies, sweaters, and caps and which most recently embarked on a collaboration with Rotterdam brand Clan de Banlieue, and an innovative and sustainable festival organiser – which aims to combine the different cultures in music and most recently organised a sold out summer edition with 7000 attendees in 2019.
